1) When did you start at SAC?   Why do you work in the fitness industry?

I started working at SAC in 2011.  My goal in the fitness industry is to help people achieve their goals, whether it is competing in sports or trying to live healthier lives.

 

2) What is your job title and description?

Title: Strength and Conditioning Coach/Personal Trainer

Description: Help athletes/individuals improve their performance through strength training and conditioning programs as well as reduce injuries using movement assessments and corrective exercises.

 

3) Education/Experience/Certifications/Awards (trainers – here is where you could also add a specialty or expertise)

Education:  Bachelors of Science in Exercise and Sports Science from Oregon State University

Experience:

-Strength and Conditioning Intern at EXOS (formerly Athlete’s Performance); worked with professional football, baseball, hockey, golf, and soccer athletes

-Strength and Conditioning Intern at Oregon State University’s Sports Performance Center; worked with Division 1 football, basketball, baseball, soccer, golf, rowing, track and field, and swimming athletes

Certifications:

-USAW (USA Weightlifting) Performance Coach

-Pursuing CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) Certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association

Specialty:

-Strength training and conditioning for sports
