FEATURED CLUB MEMBER
Scott Miller
Scott moved to Sisters from Portland in 1999. While at an alumni function one of his colleagues asked if he would be interested in moving and working here. It sounded like a good idea so he and his wife Cheri made the move. Cheri and Scott have been married for 26 years and have two children ages 18 and 20.
Scott attended Warner Pacific College in Portland and obtained his Masters and Doctorate in Psychology from George Fox. Scott now practices psychology here in Sisters. When at the Club you can find Scott in the weight room and swimming with his training partners Tom Landis and Chris Calvin. Recently Scott competed at the Masters state swim meet in the 1500 freestyle, the 100IM, 200IM, 400IM, 200Backstroke, 50Backstroke and 2 relays. He really enjoyed watching Tom Landis break the record in the 400IM while attending the meet. When asked, he said he could not decide on a favorite event but he does prefer sprinting in the pool, however his training partners rarely let him do that. In his spare time he loves watching episodes of The Voice and X-Factor with his family, as he is a big music fan. He likes to just “veg out” and spend time with friends and family. An interesting tidbit about Scott is that he was once chased by a grizzly bear near the Kenai and Russian confluence of Alaska, he obviously survived the ordeal but the bear was eventually put down for being a public safety hazard.
Scott wanted to say “thank you” too all of the staff and members at the Club that provide the inspiration for him. We are proud of Scott and all of his accomplishments in and out of the pool. He is a fantastic member.

Miki McFadden
Miki has worked at the Club since she moved to Sisters 8 years ago. She had been living in Santa Barbara and she and her partner Peggy knew that they were ready to make a change. Miki’s best friend lived in Bend and suggested they check out Sisters so they went online and looked at some pictures and two months later they made the move with their family. The rest, as they say is history.
Miki and Peggy have two daughters together Nila who is 15 and Alana who is 13. Miki also has two grown sons that live in Florida. Miki grew up on Oahu and was the Junior Surfing Champion at 12 years old. She was also a volleyball Olympian in the 1968 Olympics and was inducted into the Volleyball Hall of Fame. To add to her accolades she graduated from USC with a masters degree in Education. She then taught PE for 45 years, coached basketball at USC and Ventura College for 11 years and was the Pasadena College Swim Club coach. So needless to say she is an athletic rock star!Miki enjoys swimming daily and says that the pool at SAC is what keeps her going. She enjoys walking her dogs and spends a lot of time taxiing her girls to choir and volleyball practices. Miki is currently the Sisters High School Volleyball coach and the Outlaw Volleyball Club coach. She volunteers her time at the Sisters Library and at the elementary school.
Simply put Miki is a dynamo and a great asset not only to the Sisters Athletic Club but also to the community of Sisters. We could not be happier than to have her be a part of the SAC family!
