When did you start at SAC? And why do you work in the fitness industry?
What is your job title and description?
Rosie began working at the club in April of 2004 with the 3rd grade learn to swim program and now also teaches group lessons, swim club, and private lessons.
She’s been involved with teaching/coaching aquatics since about the age of 13 when she gave her babysitting clients swim lessons in her backyard. Rosie graduated from the University of California at Irvine with a BS in Social Science with an emphasis in Psychology. She is a coach member of USA swimming and has held WSI (water safety instructor) certifications for over 30 years.
What are your hobbies?
Rosie loves the water and enjoys passing that passion on to her students both young and old. Feeling at ease in the aquatic environment isn’t always in a person’s comfort zone and Rosie likes helping people overcome their hesitations or just improve on their skills. Rosie enjoys all water sports, spending time with her family, and traveling.
What is something quirky/interesting about you? or What is your favorite quote?
Rosie loved the water so much that when she was younger she wished she could live in the underwater world of Atlantis.
