Swim Lesson Coordinator/ Swim Instructor
I began working at the club in April of 2004 with the 3rd grade learn to swim program and now also teach group lessons, swim club, and private lessons.
Education/Experience/Certifications/Awards
I’ve been involved with teaching/coaching aquatics since about the age of 13 when I gave my babysitting clients swim lessons in my backyard. I was a competitive age group swimmer through high school. I graduated from the University of California at Irvine with a BS in Social Science with an emphasis in Psychology. I have been a coach member of USA swimming and have held WSI (water safety instructor) certifications for over 30 years.
What are your hobbies?
I love the water and enjoy passing that passion on to my students both young and old. Feeling at ease in the aquatic environment isn’t always in a person’s comfort zone and I like helping people overcome their hesitations or just improve on their skills. I enjoy all water sports, spending time with my family, and traveling.
What is something quirky/interesting about you? or What is your favorite quote?
I loved the water so much that when I was younger I wished I could live in the underwater world of Atlantis.
