Meet the Staff ~ November 2009

Jesse McFarland

Jesse considers himself a Central Oregon local.  However, he was born in San Jose, California and moved to Bend, Oregon at the age of 9.  After graduating from Bend High School, he moved back to San Jose and lived there for another 4 years.  While he was there he attended Gavilan Community College and played basketball.  He then returned to Oregon to finish his education and basketball career at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande.  This is where he got his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Health.

During the summer of 2003, after his Jr. year, he worked as an intern at SAC in the club’s old location.  Jesse was then hired as a full time employee the day the club opened in this current location in Spring of 2004.  He worked up the ranks starting as a Front Desk/M.O.D./ Towel Boy, to Personal Trainer, to Fitness Director and now as Assistant Manager.

As a full-time employee he is also a full time college student.  Next month he will receive a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Ashford University.  With all of this, Jesse still lives a very active lifestyle.  He still plays a lot of basketball but primarily lives in Central Oregon for the “sweet powder” at Mt. Bachelor.
