FEATURED STAFF MEMBER
Rosie Horton
Rosie began working at SAC in 2004 helping out with our 3rd grade swim program, which led to her teaching private and group lessons at the Club. Rosie is also the owner of Common Threads downtown. She began working at Common Threads in 1988 and in 2001 became the owner.
Rosie has been swimming competitively since she was 6 years old and has been teaching swimming since the 70’s. The breaststroke was her specialty and her talents took her to the Jr. Olympics in her youth. Needless to say swimming is her passion in life.
Rosie has lived in Sisters for 25 years, which is a long time by her standards since Rosie grew up as a “military brat”, and moved around a lot. She and her husband Tim relocated from Irvine California where Rosie went to college. Tim’s mother was retiring to Sisters and Tim and Rosie liked the area so much that they decided to move here as well.
When not swimming or working at the store, Rosie enjoys relaxing with family and enjoying her one-year-old German shepherd puppy Magnum. Rosie is a member of the Sisters Quilt show Board and volunteers at many community and school events. She is an asset to our community as well as an asset to the Club and we could not be happier to have her as part of the SAC team!

FEATURED CLUB MEMBER
Connie Gunterman
Connie has been a member at SAC since 2007. She relocated to Sisters from Dayton, Ohio. While her son was living in Oregon she had vacation in the area and liked it so much she decided to retire here. Connie has two sons, one living in Daytona and the other in Forest Grove. She spent her professional life as an HR manager and recently retired. She and her husband Joe live in Tollgate with two dogs and a cat.
Connie is a dive master and enjoys scuba diving and underwater photography. She says her favorite place is underwater and spends a lot of time swimming in the pool at the Club. She has done over 750 dives since 1994 – wow! Last February she traveled to Roatan Nicaragua but says Bonaire near Venezuela is her favorite spot to dive so far. She hopes to visit Palau this coming year.
Aside from diving and swimming, Connie enjoys hiking, fishing, shooting and kayaking. She is very active in her church, singing in the choir and organizing the country fair. It is a pleasure to have Connie as a member at the Club and we look forward to hearing more about her diving adventures.

Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!
