Activities
There is something that happens in a room full of people all moving toward the same goal at the same time — an energy that is difficult to describe and impossible to replicate on your own. It lifts you when you are tired. It pushes you when you want to stop. It reminds you, without a single word being spoken, that you are not in this alone. That energy lives in the various SAC Group Exercise classes — and it is one of the things members come back for week after week, year after year.
This is where friendships are built between the sets, where personal bests are quietly shattered, where first-times become regulars, and where regulars become the familiar, encouraging each other and making a fitness community feel like something genuinely worth belonging to.
The class selection is broad and intentionally varied, designed to keep your body challenged, your interest engaged, and your week full of options that fit your schedule, your mood, and your goals.
- Body Sculpt – A structured, weight-based strength session that targets your major muscle groups with focused, progressive resistance training designed to build real muscle, increase endurance, and improve overall tone and definition.
- Better Bones, Balance and Beyond – A community-based exercise program combining lower-body strength training, impact exercises, and balance work to reduce the risk of falls and fractures. Designed to improve strength, balance, and bone density, with modifications for all fitness levels, including participants with osteopenia and osteoporosis.
- Cardio Dance – An energetic, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired dance fitness class that delivers a fun, calorie-burning workout while making every minute feel like anything but a workout.
- Circuit – A weight room class where you move through different exercise stations throughout the workout.
- Spin – Indoor cycling put to music in a fun, energetic, and motivational group setting.
Every class on the schedule is led by an experienced, certified instructor who brings their own unique personality, teaching style, and passion for movement to the room. No two instructors are exactly alike — and that variety is one of the things that keeps Group Exercise feeling fresh, exciting, and worth coming back to, no matter how many times you have walked through the door.
All classes are designed to accommodate a full range of fitness levels. Modifications are always offered so that beginners feel capable and confident from day one, while more experienced members are consistently challenged and engaged. Whether you are stepping into your very first group fitness class or you have been a regular for years, the Group Exercise Room welcomes you with the same open, encouraging energy every time.
Come to the class. Stay for the community. Come back because you cannot imagine your week without it.
All classes are free with membership. Students must be 12 or older to participate in group exercise classes—room available for open use when classes are not in session.
